How it works
Install the extension in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on desktop. Paste or upload as usual. Names, dates and identifiers become placeholders before the site receives them. In ChatGPT and Claude, PHI Mask puts your details back into the reply on your screen. On other sites you see the placeholders.
Your file is masked in your browser and never sent to us. Masking uses no LLM and no generative AI.
What stays with your clinic
Sending a masked copy to an AI provider is still a disclosure to that provider. Whether your clinic uses AI, and which tool, stays your clinic's decision.
